The Portrait Gallery

This project is in no way politically motivated. Looking into these faces, I’ve never felt more proud or more humble to be Canadian. It is truly an remarkable thing that regardless of personal views one way or another, as Canadians, we stand united in support of our troops. My only hope is the people of Afghanistan might one day understand the tremendous sacrifice that has been made in the loss of each one of these men and women.

Not wishing to intrude, I do not attempt to contact the families directly, trusting instead that each  of these paintings will find their way home. If you are a relative or a friend or know a family member of one of the men or women portrayed in these paintings, please pass the word.
